Summer at Big Red Bus Co was a whirlwind to say the least. First of all, many thanks to all our lovely Brides and Grooms, who chose to include our vintage bus in their special day. It’s been a pleasure. Here are a few snippets of some summer weddings which we took part in.
On top of all the vintage wedding transport, we also provided our services for the World Corporate Games 2014, as part of the International Festival for Business hosted by Liverpool during June and July. Big Red Bus Co were on hand with our on board bar, keeping the athletes calm but not some much hydrated with our fruity cocktail creations and Pimms jugs at the outdoor venue, Princes Dock, which was the site chosen for the Dragon Boat Racing and Open Water Swimming. We are taking in a lot of bookings for our unique bus bar solution at the likes of corporate events, garden parties and outdoor weddings. For more information on our bar hire services please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Our beautiful vintage bus was also lucky enough to take part in the Giant Spectacular 2014, a massive event for the city and for our company! To mark the centenary of the start of the First World War, Jean-Luc Courcoult returned to the city to continue the narrative of the Giant Dolls which first graced our streets in 2012. Big Red Bus Co took part in the final act of the street theatre, at Clarence Dock. Our role was to transport war veterans from the City of Liverpool Royal British Legion to the dock to watch the final performance of the Giants, from centre stage on the top deck of our bus. It was an honour to meet the hero’s that we had on board and take part in the Giant extravaganza.
There is no slowing down for us this Autumn, with September set to be one of our busiest months for wedding bookings. We are also very excited to be taking part in the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival on Sunday 21st September in association with Salt Dog Slims of Seal Street. Stay tuned for our next blog post.
